Paela loves her finger food.

Or: bedtime/playtime.

We try not to rile up our child right before she goes down for the night, but she was giggling while hopping on pop. We tried to get that on video, but our daughter is very camera aware. Instead, you get to see us clapping at our pumpkin girl.

For her six month birthday, we gave her a taste of sweet potatoes. She did the standard baby grimace and moved on with life. Yay for homemade sweet potatoes!

Paela slowly stands up on her own. She can do it in her crib. We move the crib mattress to the lower level.

Paela plays with some toys she got for christmas. These small spinning balls escape her grip and then she scooches after them. It's easier to move on the kitchen floor.

We found a jumperoo on craigslist for 10$ (and plan on reselling it for as much when Paela is done). This was her first time in her own jumperoo. The sad thing is this jumperoo doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a current model, but despite her lack of enthusiasm shown in this video, she really does enjoy it now.

Paela drinks out of our water glasses at restaurants. We figured that meant it was past time to get her a sippy cup. So now you can watch her experimenting with a sippy cup and also bonus material of how she likes to read.

Background noise: ice cream maker 

I was sitting in Germany, listening to everyone speak German and not understanding much, when to my surprise Paela was playing with her toy. What was so surprising about that? Last time I looked she was on the ground about two feet from her toy. To check my theory, I put her down, put her toy in front of her, and without hesitation, she wiggled her way within reach of the toy. The next morning we filmed this video.
