Description
This was Rebecca's mother's decorators frosting. It comes out sweeter than our other frosting recipe, but you can vary the stiff quality of the frosting.
Ingredients
- 3⁄4 c crisco
- 1⁄8 t salt
- 1⁄4 t meringue powder
- 1 1⁄2 T flour
- 1⁄4 c water
- 1⁄2 t flavoring
- 4 1⁄2 c powdered sugar
Instructions
Mix crisco, salt, meringue powder and flour together with beaters. Add sugar, water and flavoring.
Notes
This recipe will harden as exposed to air over time, depending on how much meringue powder you added. Only make the frosting right before you plan on coating the cake.
