not much ado

After a month or two of trying, we finally got out to the ICA this week. What with emergency room trips and crazy game day traffic, we were starting to think we would not see the Roni Horn exhibit before it left the ICA! But finally, three days before the end, we made it out there without much ado. We enjoyed the trip. Aderyn slept in the moby, Paela loved the sculptures, and we even found cheap parking. Hooray.

Though Wayne commented that he always forgets how small the ICA is.

Another day last week, Wayne took the girls to the Decordova sculpture park. Paela liked the giant man. And climbing things she shouldn't have (oops!). Wayne was a trooper and carried Aderyn around every since she through a fit about being in the stroller and I (for shame) had put the moby away at home unbeknownst to Wayne. That will teach me to put things away!

Saturday took us to a picnic with Camilla and Victor. We were all glad that the rain held off pouring until we were all in the cars again, and just spit on us. The kids all loved seeing dogs running in the park.

A couple of nights I was lucky enough (and brave enough) to leave both kids with Wayne. Aderyn is (still) not that great a sleeper, so it feels big to attempt leaving her. But I was rewarded and Wayne only had a pacifier call-out one night and no demands for food. Hooray. Hanging out with some ladies for the ward was fun too. Now we just need to be brave enough to leave the girls with a sitter so we can both get out, right?
