Description
Ingredients
- 4 1⁄2 c flour
- 2 1⁄4 t yeast, active dry
- 1 c milk
- 3⁄4 t salt
- 1⁄3 c sugar
- 1⁄3 c butter
- 2 eggs
Instructions
Heat milk and butter in microwave until butter is melting: to a good yeast temperature. Toss in yeast. Add flour, sugar and salt. Mix in bread machine or kitchen aide, toss in eggs and finish mixing. Knead well until a smooth and elastic ball of dough and let rise until double in size (about an hour). Punch it down and divide into two parts. Let rest while you get your pans greased.
Shape the dough however you want. We like cloverleaf rolls: divide one part of the dough into 36 small balls, tightly wadding the three balls together into one muffin tin hole. Also, the crescent shapes can be made with the other half of the dough: roll the half into a big circle, approximately 12 inches. Brush with butter, then slice using pizza cutter into 12 wedge. Roll loosely, allowing room to rise and put on a cookie sheet.
After they are shaped, put them in a warm place to double in size, another 30 minutes. We back at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
